Inter Divisional English School Championships 2013

Congratulations to Carissa Armijo and Joel O’ Halleron who were recently chosen to represent the North East of England at the Inter Divisional English School Championships. This was held on 29th and 30th June 2013 at Liverpool Aquatic Centre.

  

Carissa was selected to swim in the junior girls 100m butterfly and the 400m IM individual events, finishing 4th in the 400m IM and 7th in the 100m butterfly.

Carissa also swam in the junior girls medley and freestyle relays. The team won a silver medal in the medley relay and a gold in the freestyle relay. The freestyle team also set a new championship record.

Joel was selected to swim in the senior boys 200m breaststroke and the 400m IM individual events.

Joel won a gold medal, finishing 1st in the 200m breaststroke and also a silver medal, finishing 2nd in the 400m IM. 

Joel’s medal wins helped the North East senior boys to finish in first place overall.
