Please follow the process below to access the reduced rate.
On receipt Emrys will provide a confirmation letter which will need to be presented on the first visit as proof of membership to the swimming club, failure to present the letter could result in the leisure centre refusing access.
Our Annual General Meeting “AGM” will take place in Room 1 at Gateshead Leisure Centre at the earlier time of 6pm on Tuesday 3rd July 2018. This change has been made due to England’s progression in the World Cup.

Gateshead & Whickham Swimming Club is a club that is run solely by volunteers for its members and one of the important parts of the AGM is to appoint the volunteers who act as officers of the club. Throughout the year we welcome approaches from anyone who wants to get involved with helping us to run the club. However, the AGM provides a focussed opportunity for people who want to put themselves forward for roles on the committee in the coming year. All roles are open to members who are at least 18 years old.
The following list shows the members currently in position and also where the current incumbent is standing down. You’ll see that we have the need for a new Web Site Manager and a Squad Rep for our Development Squad.

Help Us To Maintain Swimming Pool Hygiene.
The Council takes it responsibility for keeping all of our swimming customers safe and well. This includes ensuring the water quality of all swimming pools is maintained to nationally recognised standards. There are a few ways that users can help us in this matter and we would like you to pass on this information.
We ask that customers adhere to the following advice.
· When entering the pool changing rooms please use the blue overshoes provided to cover outdoor shoes.
· Please ensure that you shower before and after each swim.
· Anyone who may have suffered from vomiting or diarrhoea should not return to use a Swimming Pool for 2 weeks following the last bout of vomiting and diarrhoea.
