Junior League Skills Sessions 2019
New for this season are monthly Junior League skills sessions which are open to all swimmers born in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 who are in Performance Group 1, Potential, Competitive Development and selected Academy swimmers.
This session will help to develop specific Junior League skills e.g. dive starts, turns, finishes, takeovers, breathing patterns.
They will take place on the first Thursday of every month from 19:30 – 20:30 at Gateshead Leisure Centre. If you have any questions please speak to your squad coach.
Level 4 Development Meets
We are also introducing licensed Level 4 development meets throughout the year. The benefits of running such a meet are that the swimmer’s times go on the British Swimming rankings and can qualify them for swims at local competitions. They also allow swimmers to qualify for the county championships. This is why we are having a recruitment drive for trainee officials who could spare a small amount of time which would greatly benefit a huge range of swimmers in the club. If you are interested in helping please speak to Ross Bradley. You will receive more information regarding Development Meets closer to the time from your squad rep/coach.
