Gateshead & Whickham Swimming Club warmly welcomes and encourages new members at all levels of participation.
Children or adults new to swimming, children progressing from council run schemes, competitive swimmers wanting to try out swimming at a professionally run club or ‘mature’ swimmers wishing to keep their sport going … All are welcome.
If you aren’t sure if being part of the club is for you, we offer ‘try out’ sessions. These are sessions where, depending upon the level at which you wish to swim, you can join in with an ongoing session and / or be assessed by the Head Coach … Free Of Charge
Finding out about membership or try out sessions is straightforward.
Contact one of our committee or fill in the form at the bottom of this page. Somebody will contact you and give advice on which pool to go to, when to go to it and what to expect when you get there.
Alternatively, come directly along to one of the sessions. Look at the squad and schedule pages on this web site to identify the most appropriate for you and time and location of the sessions for that group.
